Contents Supervisor – Ottawa

Position Summary
At On Side, Cleaner Packers, also known as Contents Technicians show up every day with a can‑do attitude and desire to help. When disaster strikes, Contents Technician teams are deployed to restore order out of chaos and clean up the aftermath. Working on site and in the On Side warehouse means no day or disaster is ever the same.

The Supervisor on this team reports to the Operations Manager and helps with the day‑to‑day direction of the team. Leading communications with Project Managers, Adjusters and trades communication skills are a necessary requirement of the job.

Compensation

Salary Range: $26‑$30 per hour

What You’ll Do

Leading and providing direction to the team

Training Contents Technicians in proper policies and procedures

Communicating with cross‑functional teams and clients

Collaborating with internal and external team members to efficiently complete projects within budget, addressing scope issues through in‑field reviews to maximize profitability of project

Working with customers to restore personal and commercial items to pre‑disaster state

Packing and cataloging contents from disaster affected areas and creating inventory lists

Cleaning contents and structures

Cleaning fabrics and textiles

Assisting contents/operations managers in performance evaluations and development of field staff

Assisting with hands‑on expertise to reduce additional trips to site/cost

What You Bring

Minimum of 1 year of experience leading and supervising a team in a human services environment (e.g., healthcare, restoration, cleaning, hospitality, etc.)

Experience with inventory management or processing is considered a strong asset

Proven experience to manage team performance and support employee development

Demonstrated commitment to corporate citizenship, social responsibility, and organizational values

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment

Positive attitude with a genuine desire to help others

Tech‑savvy with the ability to quickly learn and navigate digital tools and systems

Experience with Encircle is a strong asset

Exceptional organizational and time‑management skills

Physically fit (ability to lift, carry and pack boxes) and willingness to follow all company safety requirements

Valid driver’s licence & clean drivers abstract

Clean criminal record

Disasters can strike at any time so a rotating schedule of 24/7 after hours on‑call work may be required. Meaning you might work regular weekday hours and participate in a rotating after‑hours on‑call schedule.
