We are currently seeking a Live‑In Property Cleaner to join the team at Avalon Park, a vibrant, family‑oriented residential community in Ottawa’s St.Laurent neighbourhood, just east of downtown. This hands‑on role is well‑suited for a dependable individual who takes pride in their work and enjoys contributing to a community of more than 800 residents. As a live‑in team member, you’ll support day‑to‑day cleaning operations and help ensure shared spaces remain clean, comfortable, and welcoming for residents.

Responsibilities
Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
Clean and sanitize bathrooms, laundry rooms, and common areas to ensure high hygiene standards.
Empty garbage and ensure that waste is disposed of safely and properly.
Perform occasional deep cleaning including scrubbing baseboards, cleaning appliances, and refinishing floors.
Respond to any cleaning work orders submitted by the property management team.
Occasionally engage in snow removal during winter months.
Report any maintenance or repair issues to the property operations team.
Follow all safety protocols and use all assigned personal protective equipment appropriately.
Qualifications
Previous experience in commercial or residential cleaning, janitorial services, or housekeeping is considered a strong asset, but is not required.
Comfortable working both independently and part of a team.
Ability to perform a variety of repetitive physical tasks, including bending, kneeling, lifting, and walking for extended periods of time.
Basic English verbal communication skills.
Friendly, respectable, and community-minded with strong interpersonal skills.
Successful completion of a criminal record check.
Ability to provide professional references and have a proven record of reliable work attendance.
Additional Details
All work will be completed at Avalon Park; located at 2470 Southvale Crescent, Ottawa.
This role requires participation in an on‑call rotation schedule.
Final compensation for this role will be determined based on the successful candidates’ skills, experience, and other job‑related requirements.
