Plant Maintenance Worker

Plant Maintenance Worker  Tomlinson Environmental Services is seeking to hire a Plant Maintenance Worker for our Bantree Reclamation Facility. This position will require working Monday – Friday from 6:00AM to 3:00PM.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES   Ensure daily start-up and shut-down checklists are completed.
Safe and efficient centrifuge operation.
Monitor hardness levels in the processing tank.
Document and execute all plant maintenance safely and efficiently
Anticipate and prevent facility downtime.
Maintain good housekeeping in and around the facility.
Identify, document, and eliminate potential risks and hazards.
Daily boiler blowdowns/maintenance.
Physically demanding at times, involves lifting various objects
Must be able to work alone and be self-motivated
Basic understanding of pumping knowledge
Perform snow removal in winter months
REQUIREMENTS   2-5 years of experience working in a plant maintenance role
Valid Boiler Ticket preferred
Plumbing experience would be an asset
Good understanding of the plant operations
Must be mechanically inclined
COMPENSATION INFORMATION  The expected salary range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00 per hour. Placement within the range is dependent on a variety of factors including qualifications and experience.
WORKING CONDITIONS   Working in tight, awkward spaces – bending, crawling, twisting
Working at heights – reaching, climbing
Lifting objects up to approximately 50 pounds
Will be exposed to dirt, dust, odors, noise, and weather extremes
May be required to work nights or weekends
