Concierge​/Maintenance Custodian

First Quebec Holdings Inc. and Corporation Genix have managed multi-family residential buildings in Montreal since 1996. We are looking for a concierge to look after our buildings day to day: cleanliness, small repairs, and common areas that simply work.

This is a role for someone resourceful, who takes pride in a job done properly and who quickly becomes a familiar, reassuring presence for tenants.

• Maintain the common areas: corridors, entrances, stairwells, laundry rooms and indoor parking
• Handle garbage, recycling and bulky-item collection on the City's schedule
• Carry out small repairs: basic plumbing, locks, paint, light fixtures
• Turn apartments over between tenants (cleaning, touch-ups, inspections)
• Clear snow from entrances and handle seasonal grounds upkeep
• Flag anything to management that needs a specialized contractor
• Take the occasional after-hours emergency call

• Two years in caretaking, building maintenance or a related trade
• Comfortable with hand tools and everyday repairs
• Valid driver's licence — you will move between our buildings
• Able to lift and to work on your feet
• Honesty and good judgment — you will hold the keys to the buildings
• Patience and an easy manner with tenants
• Spoken French
