Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8h/day

Role Overview

As Human Resources Manager, you play a key role in shaping our culture and improving employee experience while ensuring efficient HR operations and facility management. You lead strategic initiatives, manage budgets, and optimize processes in collaboration with leadership to create an inclusive, high-performing environment that supports Kenworth Montréal’s growth and long-term success. Together, we shape the future of our organization and the success of those who drive it forward.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Define and oversee talent acquisition strategy to support growth and competitiveness.
  • Lead succession planning and anticipate workforce needs for critical roles.
  • Develop external partnerships and strengthen employer branding to attract top talent.
  • Supervise training and skills development programs for employees and managers.
  • Advise leaders on performance management and development strategies.
  • Design annual plans to strengthen managerial skills and ensure regulatory compliance (Law 90, etc.).
  • Develop and manage compensation and benefits policies aligned with business strategy.
  • Create recognition initiatives and programs to foster motivation and loyalty.
  • Implement concrete actions to improve employee well-being and retention.
  • Advise directors on team engagement, communication, and collaboration.
  • Ensure legal and regulatory compliance (Labor Standards, Pay Equity, Health & Safety, French Language Charter).
  • Lead labor relations and represent the company before legal authorities.
  • Oversee maintenance, safety, and facility improvements.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and contractors to ensure a safe and functional environment

Qualifications

  • Relevant experience, including 8 years in staff management ;
  • Mastery of French and English ;
    • Skill level: intermediate in speaking, reading, and writing
    • Frequency: daily
    • Reason: communication with the U.S. corporate group
  • Inspiring and mobilizing leadership, strategic mindset, agile, and rigorous;
  • Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, discernment, and active listening.
