Hiring Base Salary Range:

The Industry Conferences and Standards department leads the development, governance, and adoption of global airline industry standards. Within this structure, the Passenger Standards Conference (PSC) brings together airlines, industry partners, and subject matter experts to define and maintain standards that support passenger retailing, servicing, operations, and interoperability across the air transport ecosystem. As PSC continues its transformation journey, IATA is strengthening its leadership capabilities to drive greater industry engagement, improve governance, accelerate standards delivery, and ensure standards provide measurable value to the industry.

The Head Passenger Standards reports to the Director, Industry Conferences and Standards and is responsible for leading the PSC standards portfolio and associated governance activities.

• Lead the strategic direction and execution of the Passenger Standards Conference (PSC) work programme.
• Partner with airline leaders, Board Chairs, Working Groups, and industry stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and deliver standards initiatives.
• Drive standards lifecycle management, ensuring standards remain relevant, adopted, and aligned with industry needs.
• Monitor industry trends and emerging business requirements, translating them into standards development opportunities.
• Strengthen member engagement and participation across the PSC ecosystem.
• Oversee governance processes and ensure effective collaboration between Boards, Working Groups, Secretariats, and subject matter experts.
• Promote transparency, accountability, and execution discipline across the standards portfolio.
• Support the delivery of key industry transformation initiatives, including modern airline retailing and servicing capabilities.
• Represent IATA and PSC in industry forums, conferences, and strategic stakeholder engagements.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts to enhance the effectiveness, adoption, and value of passenger standards.
• Act as Working Group or Board Secretary as required.

You are an experienced people leader with a track record of building, developing, and motivating high-performing teams. You bring deep aviation industry knowledge and a passion for driving industry change through standards, collaboration, and innovation. You have successfully led complex programmes, engaged senior stakeholders, and translated industry needs into tangible outcomes. You thrive in global, member-driven environments and are comfortable balancing strategic vision, people leadership, governance, stakeholder management, and execution excellence.
