Lead the transcription and captioning team at the Senate of Canada. This position focuses on real-time captioning and managing transcript production for parliamentary activities.

As a Team Lead in the Communications Directorate, you will oversee captioning services and ensure the timely creation of transcripts. Your experience in broadcast captioning and stenography will be vital for supervising the real-time captioning processes. This role requires coordination with team members to maintain high-quality service and meet production deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise real-time captioning of Senate Chamber events

• Oversee transcript production processes and document flow

• Coordinate work priorities among transcription team members

• Implement and optimize new technologies for transcript management

• Ensure quality and timely service delivery for Senate documentation

Requirements:

• Completion of secondary school and recognized stenographic training

• 5 to 7 years of experience in broadcast captioning

• Certification in machine stenography or stenomask/voicewriting

• Knowledge of CART and closed captioning software

• Minimum 2 years of real-time transcription experience
