Tekdata Metal Solutions is a company based in the south shore of Montreal; we machine parts and design, and we manufacture tailor‑made project and transportation parts. We are specialized in sheet metal manufacturing. Since we have been in constant growth in the last few years, we are looking for a mechanical designer to add to our engineering department.

We are currently looking for an industrial junior design.
* For this position it is essential to master the
INVENTOR
software.
Quality and certifications
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar role;
- DEP completed;
- Knowledge related to engineering drawing;
- Be able to meet deadlines and time allowed per project;
- Know about fabrication of sheet metal;
- Metrology and inspection knowledge (Vernier, micrometre, height gauge, etc.);
- Knowledge of Inventor, Solid Works, and office suite;
- Bilingual in English/French (speaking and writing).
Responsabilities
- Provides technical drawings, exploded views and assembly using Inventor and Autocad;
- Produce fabrication drawings of professional quality (free of errors);
- Contribute to the improvement of Tekdata design and drafting practices;
- Consult with engineers or production director to establish product requirements;
- Produce support documentation such as closing jobs on ERP systems, etc.;
- Maintain a constant workflow and maximize the productivity of the department.

- Ability to proactively address issues and problems by proposing solutions;
- Manage well in an environment of change and ambiguity;

- Work schedule:
40 hours, ends at 1 pm on Friday; - Opportunity to work overtime.
