The Kitting Supervisor is responsible for leading the end‑to‑end kitting process that supports gas turbine repair & overhaul, and new manufacturing activities. This role ensures that all engine module kits (serviceable parts, replacement parts, repair orders, and consumables) are compiled accurately, delivered on time, and fully aligned with production planning requirements. The Supervisor will coordinate closely with warehouse operations, MRB/inspection, supply chain, production controllers, planners, and production teams to ensure seamless material flow throughout the gated overhaul process.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Oversee daily kitting operations for new production and R&O modules, ensuring on-time kit releases to production according to master schedule.Assign, coordinate, and monitor workload across multiple locations; supervise, train, and mentor kitting technicians and production controllers.Establish and track performance metrics such as OTD, accuracy, shortage resolution, and repair TAT; maintain clear kit identification and traceability of kits and shortages.Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure part availability, prioritize shortages, and monitor SAP demand elements for issuance, picking, and conformance.Ensure efficient material flow from repair, inspection, and MRB with minimal backlog, enforcing correct use of RFID, green cards, kit travelers, and routing documents to ensure correct material physical location.Identify bottlenecks, implement process improvements, support layout optimization, and drive corrective actions to enhance kitting efficiency and accuracy.What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or equivalent work experience, with a minimum of 5 years in aerospace, MRO, gas turbine, or precision manufacturing.Over 2 years of supervisory or lead experience in manufacturing operations, materials management, or warehousing/logistics.Proficiency with SAP (or other ERP systems) and strong knowledge of rotating equipment, turbine engine components, and overhaul processes.Expertise in inventory control, cycle counts, configuration management, and material flow optimization.Demonstrated leadership, prioritization, and quick decision-making skills, with excellent communication to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities, with experience in Lean Six Sigma, continuous improvement, or related programs.
