Operations Manager, Production Manager, Production QC/QA
Role Overview
The manager is responsible for all operations of a value chain to ensure performance in terms of delivery, production, efficiency, quality, and health, safety, and environment (HSE). The manager supervises methods agents, operational programmers, and manufacturing employees.
Responsibilities- Delegate tasks and decisions to the team based on capabilities to foster commitment and autonomy.
- Guide and assist the team in solving problems and making decisions efficiently.
- Implement necessary actions to ensure execution of the production plan and meet delivery schedules.
- Identify and anticipate problematic situations and obtain help from relevant resource persons (maintenance, quality, HR).
- Create and maintain an engaging work environment that encourages accountability and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with company rules and policies, including collective agreements, and impose disciplinary measures if needed.
- Communicate effectively within the team and across departments.
- Work with HSE teams to raise awareness and ensure compliance with HSE rules and policies.
- Encourage risk reporting and participation in solution finding.
- Ensure completion of inspections, analyses, and action plans.
- Collaborate with the Planning team to monitor and adjust the production plan.
- Ensure availability and optimization of resources for workforce efficiency.
- Manage labor movements for optimal versatility of manufacturing employees.
- Work with quality teams to raise operator awareness of quality (internal and external).
- Ensure dynamics and performance of operational problem‑solving (RPO/8D).
- Ensure achievement of quality objectives and sector performance.
- Support continuous improvement activities.
- Relevant university degree or equivalent experience.
- Approximately 10 years of relevant experience in a similar position.
- Experience in a unionised manufacturing environment.

Excellent oral and written communication in French and English.
