The A220 commercial aircraft program is looking for Work & Material Planners to join our Work & Material Planning (W&MP) team based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada), where you will put your skills to use by being at the heart of the operations of the Final Assembly Line (FAL).

You will be part of the Work & Material Planning team responsible for setting up daily production plans, performing follow-ups with various teams (production and suppliers) and ensuring the delivery of parts to the line at the right time.

The team organization is established to promote autonomous cross-collaboration, by supporting each other and learning collectively.

Your role as a Work & Material Planner will be to bring the multifunctional team together on a common plan by prioritizing and coordinating the various tasks and delivery of parts.

Your challenges:
  • Build a workshop load plan for the paced production section;
  • Plan and coordinate the work of various stakeholders;
  • Perform close follow-ups with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with the production plan (supply, production, on-site suppliers, etc.);
  • Be at the center of production activities by being the heart of work planning and follow-up;
  • Define and execute lean and reliable material flows from the dock to the point of use in close collaboration with the Logistics-Supply function;
  • Define and implement inventory management as part of an overall working capital improvement strategy;
  • Develop solutions to align supply and demand to achieve the inventory management strategy.
  • Define and document handling equipment from the loading dock to the workstation;
  • Define and document production kits;
  • Interact with various multidisciplinary teams (Logistics-Supply, Methods, Plant Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality);
  • Participate in improvement projects (AOS (Airbus Operating System), 5S, lean manufacturing, cost reduction, manufacturing improvement, etc.)
Your profile:
  • You hold a bachelor's degree in logistics or industrial engineering, operations and logistics management, or a college diploma with equivalent experience;
  • You have two to five years of relevant experience in logistics or production planning;
  • You have relevant experience in the automotive or aerospace industry (an asset);
  • You have a strong interest in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles;
  • You have a good understanding of written and spoken French and English (an asset);
  • You are comfortable using the Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project);
  • You are comfortable using Google Suite (Files, Docs, Slides)
  • You have work experience with SAP (an asset);
