Sealant Applicator

AAA Canada is looking for several Sealant Applicators to join our team, under the supervision of the production supervisor.

The incumbent will have as main mandate to seal certain sections of devices and specific parts, in compliance with established quality standards. Sealant applicators are involved in the preparation and application of sealants on various aeronautical components.

• Estimate the scope of work and required duration;
• Select materials required to accomplish the work;
• Prepare the work area for the task to be performed;
• Prepare ground support equipment, such as stands, scissor lift tables, scaffolding, ladders and carts.
• Surface preparation:
• Clean aircraft, parts and components for application and inspection purposes
• Coating application:
• Clean surfaces by rubbing with a tack cloth before coating application;
• Proceed with the application of coatings.
• Quality assurance and equipment maintenance:
• Log repair and application in documentation;
• Evaluate the finished product and the task performed according to defined specifications.

• Hold a high school diploma (DES) and successfully pass an assessment demonstrating basic technical skills.
• Ability to distinguish colors, finishes and textures;
• Ability to spot relevant details in objects or graphic representations;
• Ability to notice finishing details;
• Able to work at heights (nacelle);
• Possess excellent manual dexterity;
• Easy adaptation to numerous technological changes;
• Ease of teamwork (multidisciplinary team);
• Apply good professional safety practices as well as rules and regulations relating to their work and working environment;
