We are seeking an experienced Patternmaker for one of our clients. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in pattern making, garment construction, and fit for women’s apparel, along with excellent organizational and communication skills.

Requirements:
Certified Diploma in Fashion Design.

• Previous experience in Pattern making and Grading for women’s apparel.
• Knowledge of garment fit and construction for both woven and knits in sportswear and dresses.
• Knowledge of PAD System
• Knowledge of Illustrator & Photoshop.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
• Have a positive, proactive and productive approach.
• Excellent organization skills in order to meet deadlines.
• Bilingualism:
  French & English (written English necessary for communication with factories)
• Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently.

• Create and update patterns through all stages of fits towards final production.
• Assist in fit sessions for assigned styles with a live model while suggesting fit comments to improve fit, proportion, construction and quality of sample.
• Create detailed Tech packs for new styles and also for costing purposes.
• Finalize Tech packs for production.
• Measure fit and PP samples of assigned styles to determine if they meet the requirements.
• Work in close relation with Head Patternmaker & Design Team to ensure high standard of fit.
• Work closely with Sample makers to ensure the best construction of each garment.
• Send detailed fit comments to the Makers.
