TRANSPORTATION AT A49
This market sector encompasses the planning, design, and delivery of transportation infrastructure, including multimodal passenger terminals, stations, and integrated support facilities.
Our Transportation Practice specializes in multi-use corridors, transportation-oriented gathering spaces, and facilities that serve a wide range of users, from pedestrians and motorists to buses, ferries, aircraft, and freight movement.
We integrate advanced technologies and environmental sustainability into urban design to help create communities that are more vibrant, livable, connected, and accessible.
Our Transportation team plays a critical role in shaping the physical and spatial character of cities and regions by delivering efficient, safe, and sustainable transportation solutions that respond to the diverse needs of dynamic and growing populations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Architecture with the ability to obtain professional licensure in Québec (OAQ)
- 10+ years of experience, preferably within the transportation market.
- Recognized expertise in the transportation sector is considered a desirable asset.
- A functional level of English is required, as the successful candidate will be expected to work on initiatives outside Québec, collaborate with colleagues across Canada, and participate in communications and project work conducted in English.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Regional Sector Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our Transportation projects within the Québec region. You will work collaboratively with the Québec Region Managing Principal to support market growth by targeting new client development opportunities aligned with organizational growth objectives.
This role will also be responsible for identifying local client retention strategies and ensuring project-specific goals are achieved and leveraged both regionally and nationally to support the continued growth of the sector.
The role combines strategic leadership, operational excellence, and industry thought leadership, with responsibilities including:
Commercial excellence and financial responsibility
- Lead the development and administration of Transportation Sector revenue generation and project development activities within Québec to achieve A49's financial goals and growth targets.
- Lead the development of hard backlog and net revenue forecasts to support business development growth in accordance with established annual objectives.
- Provide professional architectural seal on drawings and contract documents for projects where you serve as the supervising architect.
Strategic growth and brand visibility
- Build and evolve the Transportation Practice in Québec and act as a recognized transportation leader on behalf of A49.
