ORA Graphene Audio is a Montreal based startup, which engineers advanced Graphene-based nanomaterials for high performance loudspeakers and headphones. Graphene speaker membranes allow for smaller, louder, more efficient drivers that produce audiophile sound quality at a fraction of the price of other esoteric solutions.

ORA is actively looking for an enthusiastic and diligent Technician to join our Production team. This position is responsible for executing the daily activities in manufacturing and inspection lines. This position provides an opportunity to get in at the ground floor of a startup business and be part of a customer focused manufacturing organization.

• Set up, operate, and monitor production equipment
• Perform the manufacturing of products in accordance with procedures and build instructions
• Ensure output meets required standard(s) and specifications
• Perform inspection of finished products in accordance with procedures and specifications.
• Inform the team leader about defects and quality issues. Identify and troubleshoot equipment issues and report major malfunctions to maintenance teams.
• Follow established manufacturing policies and procedures in compliance with established quality and safety standards
• Follow production schedules and work orders
• Assist in improving production efficiency
• Perform routine cleaning of equipment and tools (cleaning, lubrication, minor repairs)

• Education:
  
  high school diploma or CeGeP with 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing, high volume manufacturing or cellular manufacturing
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English, bilingual preferred
• Ability to focus and follow instructions provided by team leader and supervisor
• Ability to discuss issues on the site with the supervisor and other team members
• Ability to multitask and work in fast-paced environment, strong time management skills.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
