RESPONSIBILITIES
Assemble mechanical systems and structures based on technical drawings and 3D CAD models.
Assemble and install prototypes to support research and development activities.
Build electrical power distribution panels and electromechanical control panels.
Fabricate cable assemblies and wire harnesses to required specifications.
Route, organize, and secure cables for durability, reliability, and neatness.
Perform light fabrication work (e.g., drilling, cutting, manual machining).
Participate in the installation and commissioning of systems at client sites.
Follow internal quality assurance and documentation procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
College diploma or vocational diploma in electromechanics, mechanics, manufacturing, or a related field, or 10+ years of relevant professional experience.
5+ years of hands-on mechanical and/or electrical assembly experience in a professional setting.
Valid driver’s licence.
Ability to lift 50 lbs and work safely in a workshop environ ment.
Strong fine-motor skills and manual dexterity.
SKILLS
Ability to assemble systems based on mechanical and electrical drawings, schematics, and detailed work instructions.
Strong aptitude and comfort with mechanical assembly and precision work.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and measurement instruments.
Experience with fabrication methods (e.g., soldering, brazing, machining, sheet-metal work) is an asset.
Experience assembling high-vacuum or cryogenic systems is an asset.
Willingness and enthusiasm for learning new skills and techniques.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a solutions-oriented mindset.
Excellent communication skills and an ability to work effectively within a team.
Ability to work methodically and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

Assembler des systèmes mécaniques et structures à partir de dessins techniques et modèles 3D.
Assembler et installer des prototypes pour soutenir les activités de R&D.
Construire des panneaux de distribution électrique et panneaux de contrôle électromécaniques.
Fabriquer des câblages et harnais électriques selon les spécifications.
Organiser et sécuriser les câbles pour durabilité, fiabilité et propreté.
Réaliser des travaux légers de fabrication (perçage, découpe, usinage manuel).
Participer à l’installation et à la mise en service des systèmes chez les clients.
Suivre les procédures internes d’assurance qualité et de documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS
Diplôme collégial ou technique en électromécanique, mécanique, fabrication, ou domaine connexe, ou 10+ années d’expérience pertinente.
5+ années d’expérience pratique en assemblage mécanique et/ou électrique en milieu professionnel.
Permis de conduire valide.
Capacité à soulever 50 lbs et à travailler en toute sécurité dans un atelier.
