Role SummaryBased in Montreal, the Internal Communications Specialist is responsible for delivering a cohesive internal communications approach that aligns with company objectives. The role focuses on creating clear, consistent, and engaging content across multiple platforms, managing key internal communication channels and events, and ensuring employees remain informed, engaged, and connected to the organization’s priorities and culture.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Director of Communications in executing the internal communications strategy aligned with company objectives.
- Support business partners across the organization by writing, translating, and distributing multi‑platform internal communications for all employee audiences, including initiatives such as change management, crisis communications, etc.
- Lead and manage all internal communication channels, ensuring aligned, consistent, and on‑brand messaging across platforms such as quarterly All‑Employee Calls, email memos, Radar TV monitors, and the intranet.
- Support the preparation of key corporate presentations.
- Coordinate with external vendors on the production of communications materials.
- Monitor communications trends and recommend improvements to strategies and practices.
- Analyze the effectiveness of communication activities and identify opportunities for enhancement.
- Oversee the Corporate Communications inbox.
- Assist the Marketing Specialist in the coordination of various events including trade shows, conferences, air shows, and community engagement initiatives.
- Support the Marketing Specialist with employer branding initiatives, including recruitment marketing content, employee testimonial and onboarding video production, and career website updates.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of work experience in a Communications, Marketing, or Human Resources role.
- Excellent writing, communication, and editing skills in English and French;
German is an asset. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in PowerPoint and Word.
- Experience with digital design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and a strong creative skill set are considered an asset.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team, demonstrating initiative and resourcefulness.
- Highly organized and detail‑oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to shifting demands, and perform effectively under time‑sensitive conditions.
- Proven ability to work with diverse teams across multiple geographies and time zones.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with occasional periods of increased workload to support key initiatives, events, or project deadlines.
- Willingness to travel occasionally (2-3 times per year within Canada or internationally).
Position requires Controlled Goods Clearance and Level 2 Secret Clearance
