Minimum Qualifications
Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
Completion of an accredited nursing education program (Diploma, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, or equivalent).
Demonstrated experience in direct patient care within a clinical setting.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience or certification in wound care management.
Pediatric nursing experience or specialized training.
Experience with client education programs and advocacy initiatives.
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and healthcare technology.
Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care including assessment, monitoring, and documentation of patient conditions.
Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and clinical guidelines.
Perform wound care management and telemetry monitoring to ensure patient safety and recovery.
Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care strategies.
Advocate for patients’ rights and needs within the healthcare system to ensure ethical and effective care.
Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
Deliver nursing care in medical, surgical, and pediatric settings, adapting to the specific requirements of each.
Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, policies, and best practices to uphold quality standards.
