Regional Registered Nurse I - NS 33, $47.26- $58.60 per hour plus the applicable Labrador Benefits; this is a RNUNL position, and all benefits are in accordance with the RNUNL Collective Agreement.
Financial incentives may be available and can be combined including:- Signing Bonus up to $20,000
- Come Home Incentive up to $50,000
- Relocation Assistance and Support
- Student Bursaries up to $10,000
NP 35, $52.13 - $64.92 per hour plus the applicable Labrador Benefits; this is a RNUNL position, and all benefits are in accordance with the RNUNL Collective Agreement.

About the RoleThe purpose of this position is to provide primary care services to clients (preventative, health promotion, supportive, rehabilitative, and curative). The position offers an excellent opportunity to advance nursing knowledge and decision-making skills while managing a generalized primary health care program by working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team. The Nurse Practitioner or RN I role includes components of clinical practice, education, consultation, and research and preceptor ship.
This position functions in accordance with the Labrador Grenfell Zone's mission, vision and values. The Nurse Practitioner or Regional Nurse I is the administrator, primary health care provider and on-site supervisor. The NP/RN I is responsible for organizing the work schedule of all members of staff and for maintaining standards. This position reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager of Rural & Remote Health.
Registered Nurse:
- Graduation from an approved/recognized school of nursing program is required;
- Current and continuing practicing licensing with the College of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador (CRNNL) is required;
- Completion of an Outpost Nursing Program or other education/certification(e.g., health assessment course) is an asset;
- 2 years’ Acute Care experience with preference for Emergency Care or ICU experience;
- 2 years’ experience regional or outpost nursing within the past five years;
- Previous experience in leadership roles;
- The successful applicant will be required to submit a satisfactory certificate of conduct and vulnerable sector check;
- Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (CPR);
- A Class V Driver’s license;
- Preference will be given to applicants residing in the community;
- Preference will be given to candidates fluent in Innu-aimun (identify on application)

- Arranging and conducting clinics for primary care purposes including assessing, diagnosing, and prescribing in accordance with professional, provincial, and organizational standards, policies, and clinical practice guidelines;
- Coordinating treatment plans based on ongoing assessments, client and family response and outcomes, consulting with physician or nurse practitioner if required care is outside of provider’s scope of practice and competencies;
- Coordinating monthly client case management meetings with all health care providers to develop care plans for clients with complex needs;
