Enhance cardiovascular care as a Pre-Op Nurse Practitioner at Keck Medical Center. Focus on patient management, clinical evaluations, and collaboration with healthcare teams to ensure seamless surgical prep.
As a Nurse Practitioner in the cardiovascular department, you will work under administrative and medical directives. Your skills in conducting evaluations for cardiac patients, providing education, and coordinating care will directly impact successful patient outcomes. You'll work in support of Cardiovascular Medicine physicians and participate in outpatient care for pre-surgery and pre-transplant evaluations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive patient interviews and health assessments
• Develop and implement treatment plans for chronic conditions
• Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results
• Instruct patients on preventative care and health maintenance
• Collaborate with healthcare teams for optimal patient care
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Nursing with NP certification
• 3 years of NP experience, 2 in cardiology
• Strong communication skills
• Knowledge of medical procedures and patient care
• Current California RN and NP licenses
