Ottawa, ON – Industrial Rd (247)
Responsibilities Provide all respiratory services, focusing on oxygen therapy, clinical and ventilatory support to clients while collaborating with referring physicians and ensuring patient safety.
Work directly with all clients, referral sources and funding agencies to deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based care.
Conduct comprehensive respiratory assessments and diagnostics as applicable; evaluate test results; deliver equipment and supplies as required.
Develop respiratory therapy treatment plans in consultation with clients, physicians and care teams per prescription and established best practices.
Provide appropriate follow‑up to evaluate the effects of treatment plans, ensure client comfort, and address therapeutic compliance.
Assess clients’ home environments for safety, identify and address concerns, and perform recurring equipment quality‑control checks.
Obtain informed consent from clients.
Support business growth by liaising with health‑care professionals, providing information, literature, demonstrations and education of products and services.
Maintain continuing education and knowledge of clinical best practice related to the position.
Comply with and maintain knowledge of all funding processes and systems.
Ensure quality documentation by completing all company documentation and forms (digital and non‑electronic) as per policy.
Maintain client confidentiality and protect company operations by keeping information confidential.
Protect clients and employees by adhering to safety and infection‑control policies and protocols.
Follow established company protocols for the cleaning and disinfection of all equipment.
Qualifications Registered Nurse or RPN/LPN; licensed to practice with the provincial governing body.
Strong cardio‑respiratory assessment skills.
Valid driver’s licence.
Clear vulnerable persons check.
Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
Willingness to participate in a rotational after‑hours on‑call schedule.
Previous experience in a healthcare field (asset).
Fluent in written and spoken English (French language proficiency is a plus).
Working knowledge of Microsoft, Google applications and Android.
Compensation & Benefits Individual compensation packages based on experience, skill set and qualifications, with a minimum starting salary of $65,000 and opportunities for advancement.
