In this role, you will provide vital support and innovative treatment for patients with wound and ostomy challenges. As a Wound Care Specialist, you will apply best practices, assist in policy development, and mentor Care Coordinators in addressing complex cases. Your contributions will enhance the quality of care in the Champlain region.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage clinical wound care across various facilities
• Support Care Coordinators with complex cases
• Participate in committee work for quality improvement
• Research and recommend effective care products
• Monitor compliance for negative pressure wound therapy
Requirements:
• Registered Nurse (BScN or diploma) in Ontario
• Completed NSWOC certification
• 5+ years in nursing with wound care experience
• Membership in NSWOCC is an asset
• Proven planning and organizational skills
