International Board Certified Lactation Consultant

Empower families as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant at Rooted Family Wellness Centre in Kanata, Ontario. Support infant feeding journeys through in-home, virtual, and clinic-based consultations.

Rooted Family Wellness Centre is looking for a compassionate IBCLC to join their multidisciplinary team. You will collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide evidence-informed lactation and infant feeding support to families through pregnancy and infancy. This role allows for flexible scheduling and includes opportunities for both in-clinic appointments and virtual consultations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments for families and infants

• Develop individualized care plans tailored to each family

• Offer educational resources on breastfeeding and feeding styles

• Maintain client records and professional documentation

• Provide empathetic support during feeding challenges

Requirements:

• Current IBCLC certification in good standing

• Professional liability insurance

• Experience with breastfeeding and infant feeding

• Strong communication and documentation skills

• Familiarity with tongue ties and infant development is a plus
