In this part-time role, you will report to the Director of Care, ensuring nursing practices meet the standards of the College of Nurses of Ontario. Your responsibilities will include assessing residents, developing care plans, and supervising nursing staff, all while fostering a supportive atmosphere for our elderly population.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care according to established standards
• Assess resident needs and develop care plans
• Monitor vital signs and health changes
• Train and supervise unit staff effectively
• Facilitate restorative and palliative care as needed
Requirements:
• Knowledge of nursing practices and Infection Control
• Strong assessment and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with MDS/RAI for care planning
• Excellent communication abilities
• Understanding of long-term care regulations
