Extendicare Medex is seeking part-time permanent and casual Registered Nurses to work within its 193-bed long-term care facility. The role requires strong assessment skills and a comprehensive knowledge of nursing standards. You will be responsible for implementing care plans, monitoring health, and supervising staff while ensuring compliance with Ontario health regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide resident care according to nursing standards and physicians' orders
• Assess and implement individualized resident care plans
• Organize and oversee nursing functions and restorative activities
• Train and evaluate nursing and personal care staff
• Monitor resident conditions and report changes to physicians
Requirements:
• Knowledge of nursing and health care practices
• Strong assessment and communication skills
• Experience with MDS/RAI care planning
• Commitment to working with elderly populations
• Understanding of long-term care regulations
