Overview / Aperçu

Location:

Mirabel, Québec, Canada. Programme: A220 commercial aircraft. Role: supply chain and quality manager in the General Procurement team, responsible for indirect purchases and collaborating with Airbus multi-disciplinary teams (Canada, USA, Europe).

Responsibilities / Responsabilités
  • Participate in the selection of strategic suppliers with the multidisciplinary team (MFT) by providing supply chain criteria and ranking, and evaluating shortlisted suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier performance indicators (OTD/OQD), implement supplier performance management and CID (Correct, Improve and Develop) actions, and support supplier development programs.
  • Report functionally to the Supply Chain Management team and manage all supply chain and quality activities within the scope of the GP (General Procurement) function.
  • Lead supplier approvals, qualification, surveillance, and ensure compliance with Airbus tools and policies; update supplier quality data; verify that the Quality Assurance Plan meets Airbus requirements.
  • Conduct and support supplier audits at supplier sites for qualification, surveillance and compliance.
  • Support local supplier qualification, surveillance and approval for POA/DOA related to aircraft activities, within defined procedures (M20193).
  • Communicate local quality and purchasing activities impacting Indirect Procurement to define and implement relevant actions.
  • Support CID missions and interface with the improvement organization to drive supplier performance improvements.
  • Manage periodic reviews with Airbus organizations and stakeholders to assess supplier quality and compliance with Airbus requirements (including EN9100 and other standards).
  • Apply the GP supplier performance selection process and coordinate with SCQM and POA/DOA for aircraft-related activities to ensure compliance with EASA/TCCA requirements.
  • Drive supplier performance management (OTD/OQD), conduct regular performance reviews for high-risk/strategic suppliers, and implement corrective actions (CID).
  • Manage supplier risk through on-site capability assessments and mitigation actions.
  • Strengthen supplier development by supporting continuous improvement plans and roadmaps; liaise with SCQM to define additional activities as needed.
  • Identify and launch improvement plans with suppliers to continuously enhance performance and capability.
Qualifications / Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field; or equivalent professional experience. Ideally 5 years in Procurement, Quality or related functions.
  • Fluent in French and English (written and spoken). German is a plus.
  • Experience in supply chain management, quality, and/or lean management; project management experience is desirable.
  • Industrial background is a plus; SAP experience is a plus;
    Airbus quality systems experience is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% for supplier audits/visits.

Contract Type:
Permanent. Some travel may be required. This role may involve local and international coordination with multiple Airbus organizations and suppliers.
