Quality Technician/ Inspector
Agri Inspector Assistant at Intertek is searching for a Grain Inspector Assistant to join our Agri Trade team in our Montreal, QC office.
The Grain Inspector Assistant works under the direction of the Inspector and is responsible for rendering timely, safe, legal, ethical and effective commodity inspection services, including volume and temperature measurements, sampling, calculations, documentation and reporting.
Responsibilities- Perform visual observation and sampling of commodity material in rail cars, containers, vessels, etc. by specified methodology.
- Communicate and coordinate with terminal, transport and company personnel to promote smooth execution of duties.
- Monitor the availability of supplies needed for the processes and communicate any needs to the Dispatcher or Coordinator.
- Perform routine equipment calibration, verification and function checks.
- Organize and coordinate jobs so that services are rendered and reports and samples are submitted in a timely manner.
- Maintain work areas, records and equipment in a clean, organized and functional condition.
- Verify and communicate results and enter data into the appropriate media, whether print or electronic, to ensure validity and traceability.
- Basic mathematics proficiency and ability to learn practical aspects of the job.
- No rigid academic or experience requirements.
- Physically able to perform the work required, without fear of heights or confined spaces.
- Positive attitude, high tolerance for job pressure and long hours, and ability to work and communicate with diverse individuals.
- Bilingualism required to deal with internal and external clients and employees outside Quebec.
