Location: Montreal

Our client in the real estate sector is seeking a Leasing Lead to support and guide the Leasing Consultants across the Central Region of their portfolio. In this role, you will serve as a hands-on leader - coaching, motivating, and empowering the leasing team to achieve and exceed monthly performance goals. Working closely with both the Regional Leasing Manager and National Leasing Manager, you will help shape pricing strategies, optimize schedules, and ensure daily leasing operations are aligned with market conditions and business objectives.

This role is based in Montreal and will require travelling between properties and working fully onsite.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing leasing team through ongoing training, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Establish clear monthly goals and track individual and regional performance against targets.
  • Partner with the National Leasing Manager to create and execute action plans to address performance gaps and improve results.
  • Clearly communicate leasing strategies, priorities, and expectations to team members and key stakeholders.
  • Prepare and deliver performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and growth plans.
  • Foster a positive, motivating environment that encourages accountability, collaboration, and excellence.

Leasing & Marketing

  • Drive tour appointments by engaging all prospective residents via phone, email, and digital inquiries.
  • Evaluate prospect needs and match them with the most suitable communities within the portfolio.
  • Effectively showcase each property’s unique value proposition to convert interest into appointments and leases.
  • Coordinate and support open houses and promotional leasing events as required.
  • Maintain vacancy levels below established thresholds while achieving monthly rent roll targets.
  • Participate in weekly revenue management meetings and contribute insights on leasing performance and market trends.
  • Support leasing consultants in negotiating lease terms to maximize revenue and occupancy.
  • Build brand and community awareness through targeted B2B outreach and relationship-building initiatives.
  • Perform additional marketing and leasing-related duties as assigned.

Administration & Reporting

  • Review and approve all regional lease agreements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on vacancies, leasing activity, trends, and rent rolls.
  • Collect, analyze, and distribute weekly leasing reports to leadership.
  • Develop and maintain bi-weekly leasing schedules.
  • Oversee the completion and accuracy of Availability Reports and Daily Traffic Reports.
  • Perform additional administrative duties related to leasing operations as required.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in residential leasing and leadership experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to influence and build relationships.
  • Fluency in English and French is required.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities and sound judgment.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and creative, with the ability to work independently and lead by example.
  • Demonstrated cultural awareness and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of market conditions, competitor properties, and leasing trends.
