Join Professor Claude Bhérer’s Lab as a Research Assistant 2 at McGill University. Support key genetic epidemiology projects and engage with interdisciplinary research teams.
This full-time position focuses on uncovering genetic contributions to diseases through advanced statistical methods. Candidates should have an MSc in Human Genetics or related fields, with experience in Mendelian randomization and large dataset analyses.
Your role will involve collaborating on research outputs and providing guidance to less experienced colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct genetic analysis to explore disease risk factors
• Develop analytical workflows for data processing
• Collaborate to interpret complex research data
• Write methodological reports and research publications
• Guide and train undergraduate and graduate research assistants
Requirements:
• MSc in Human Genetics, Bioinformatics, or related discipline
• Familiarity with polygenic risk scores and genetic epidemiology
• Ability to analyze large datasets effectively
• Proficiency in programming languages including Python and R
• Strong communication in both English and French
