We invite candidates with a Ph.D. and substantial laboratory experience to apply for this role within Newborn Screening Ontario. You will engage in cutting-edge research to identify treatable conditions in infants through innovative genetic technologies, contributing to vital healthcare solutions in our community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of molecular technologies
• Generate draft reports for laboratory findings
• Assess disease-causing potential of genetic variants
• Train and support new lab staff and students
• Participate in research projects and quality improvement
Requirements:
• Ph.D. in molecular biology or genetics
• Ten years of relevant experience in labs
• Strong communication skills in written and oral forms
• Organizational skills for adjusting project priorities
• Fulfillment of compliance in health requirements
