Senior Food Science R&D Specialist

Food chemistry and microbiology expertise support this Senior Research and Development Technician opportunity. Work independently on testing, formulations, and food processing improvements.

This senior technician helps drive food innovation by conducting experiments, analyzing data, and maintaining detailed technical records. Responsibilities span ingredient selection, sensory evaluation, quality controls, and reports with conclusions and recommendations. You will collaborate across Production, Quality Assurance, Engineering, Procurement, and research functions.

• Research and evaluate ingredients for functionality and shelf life
• Establish quality controls for products and regulatory requirements
• Analyze data and prepare technical reports
• Maintain laboratory equipment and experimental documentation
• Mentor junior technicians and production staff

• Food science diploma or bachelor's degree
• At least five years of food industry research experience
• Strong food chemistry, microbiology, and processing knowledge
• Experience supporting projects or product launches
• Rigor, organization, communication, and independent decision-making
