Job Summary
The Assistant Manager, Guest Experience is part of the store leadership team, ensuring team members and guests receive a high‑quality experience daily. Managers lead from the floor, build and develop team members, and create a culture where everyone feels belonging and growth opportunities. They deliver outstanding guest experience aligned with company values.
Core Responsibilities
Leadership and People Management
Create and foster a respectful, inclusive team environment.
Engage team members by explaining how their work supports store and company success.
Champion the Store Manager’s people vision and cascade it to staff.
Support hiring and building a diverse team.
Provide coaching, mentorship, and continuous development.
Lead performance management, feedback, and recognition.
Address employee concerns and partner with support when needed.
Guest Experience and Community
Lead an exceptional guest experience on the floor.
Provide retail floor leadership and make in‑the‑moment decisions.
Resolve guest feedback and escalations, “make it right.”
Operations, Product, and Strategy
Partner with managers to review business data and metrics to inform planning.
Maintain visual merchandising and product presentation.
Open and close the store per procedures.
Adhere to safety policies and maintain a safe work environment.
Execute work in accordance with policies, procedures, and laws.
Budget Responsibility
Accountable for delegated aspects of controllable budget and labor hours.
Qualifications
Legal authorization to work in the store’s country.
Ability to travel to assigned store with reliable transportation.
1 year people‑management experience.
1 year leadership experience, including business operations and project management.
High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Retail or sales management experience (1 year) and recruiting/hiring experience (1 year) are nice to have.
Work Context
Environment with bright lights and loud music.
Team and independent work, mediating conflict and de‑escalating guest issues.
Relationship‑building with community partners.
Computer usage for virtual meetings.
Movement through the store; occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
Variable schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Pay Range: $25.77 – $34.87/hour (subject to local minimum wage)
Target Bonus: 25%
Total Target Base Pay Range: $32.21 – $43.59/hour
