B2B Sales, Sales Representative, Sales Consultant, Sales Development Rep/SDR
The role
OODARIS is the Agentic OS for Retail Decisions. Every night it finds what moved in a retailer's business, explains why and proposes a fix that a planner approves in the morning. ALDO Group backs OODARIS and runs it in production across ALDO, Sperry, Call It Spring and G.H. Bass.
We are early, and today the founder does the selling. You will be our first salesperson. You will build the sales process with the founder and an experienced enterprise sales advisor, and you will own the pipeline from the first conversation to a signed paid pilot.
You will sell to VPs of Planning, Chief Merchants, CFOs and CIOs at mid-size and large fashion, footwear and specialty retailers. They buy for margin, inventory and markdown results, so that is what you will talk about.
What you will do- Build the list of target accounts, map who decides and who influences at each one, and open the first conversations through outbound and warm introductions.
- Run discovery calls and product demos, with our product team on the technical questions.
- Build business cases in the buyer's terms: gross-margin dollars, sell-through, markdowns and open-to-buy.
- Take deals with several decision-makers through security review and procurement to a signed paid pilot.
- Close larger deals together with the founder.
- Keep the CRM accurate and forecast honestly.
- Tell the product team what buyers ask for, push back on, and compare us against.
- Day 30: an account plan for each of our top 25 target accounts.
- Day 60: first meetings held with target accounts.
- Day 90: at least 6 qualified opportunities and 2 paid-pilot proposals sent.
- 4+ years in a quota-carrying B2B software sales role.
- Enterprise software deals you closed yourself, through security review and procurement, with several decision-makers involved.
- A pipeline you built yourself, not only inbound leads.
- Experience selling a product the buyer had not bought before.
- Enough retail fluency to discuss margin, sell-through, markdowns and inventory with a VP of Planning.
- Startup experience, clear writing and the habit of keeping the CRM current.
- Fluent French and English. English is required because most of our target accounts are outside Québec.
It helps if you have sold retail, supply-chain or planning software, or know buyers at Canadian or US retailers.
PayA base salary, commission on the contracts you close (paid once the customer has paid) and stock options.
Location and travelMontréal is preferred; remote in Canada also works, with core hours on Eastern Time. Expect regular travel to Toronto and the US, including NRF in New York each January.
