WOCRC Crisis Counselling Specialist

Under the Manager's supervision, you’ll engage directly with clients, providing essential counselling and assessment services. The role includes facilitating workshops, advocating for clients, and participating in community education initiatives, thus enhancing overall service delivery and support systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide critical initial contact for new clients
• Conduct crisis intervention and brief counselling sessions
• Link clients with appropriate support services
• Assess risks and ensure timely follow-up
• Educate and facilitate community support groups
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent qualifications
• Two years of relevant direct service experience
• Current CRPO or Social Workers membership
• Fluent English;
French communication is a plus
• Strong assessment, organizational, and advocacy skills
