As an Employment Development Specialist, you will be responsible for offering employment services, including job placement, counselling, and direct support to participants.

Your role will involve educating employers about inclusivity and working closely with community agencies to foster an accessible workforce. Additionally, administrative responsibilities will be part of your duties to ensure the success of Northern Employment Services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate participant employment preparation and job acquisition

• Assist in resume submission and interview skills coaching

• Conduct follow-up support to ensure successful placements

• Identify community barriers impacting employment opportunities

• Maintain participant records and comply with privacy regulations

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of experience in employment service delivery

• Understanding of legislation pertaining to accessibility

• Strong skills in job development and market analysis

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

• Knowledge of ASL is an asset
