Become a Correctional Program Facilitator to support Nunavimmiut with culturally relevant programs. Deliver workshops and programs across correctional facilities supporting Inuit culture.
In this role, you will leverage your communication skills in Inuktitut and English to engage with incarcerated individuals. Your focus will include traditional workshops, such as the Qullik Healthy Relationship Program, while maintaining connections with facilities and community coordinators.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide culturally relevant programming to incarcerated Nunavimmiut
• Facilitate workshops involving traditional crafts and activities
• Work with justice committee coordinators for community engagement
• Maintain positive relationships with correctional staff
• Be prepared for travel as requested
Requirements:
• Must have a High School Diploma
• Effective bilingual communication (Inuktitut, English)
• Strong knowledge of Inuit culture
• Experience in teaching or delivering programs
• Security clearance necessary
