About the team
We are a group of  generalist software engineers with a C++ focus , working together to democratize the creation and extension of computations in the Maestro platform. We are a fast-moving, collaborative team, and each of us is passionate about what we do. Would you like to join us on the road to something new, big, and exciting? Location
HYBRID:
If in Ottawa, you must be in the office at least three days a week.
Term Duration
This is a full-time, 8, or 12-month position, starting September 2026.
Co-op / Intern Eligibility
This position is open to co-ops and interns. To be eligible, you must be currently enrolled in full-time education or be a recent/upcoming graduate within 12 months of the placement end date.
Compensation range
$24.15 - $35.42hourly rate. The final offer within this range will reflect the candidate’s skills, year of education, and experience.

What you will do
Use a variety of modern technologies and work across the software development lifecycle from development through build and into testing and test automation.
Develop high quality, well-crafted code that delivers value to our customers
Test the work of other team members and develop automated tests
Collaborate with developers and testers on your team, and other teams
Support a variety of special projects as needed
What we are looking for
3rd year student in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent program
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Passion for writing well-crafted, maintainable, robust, unit-test covered code

Experience with data structures, algorithms, multi-threading, and other core software concepts
Ability to quickly grasp technical ideas
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
A willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to our processes
Things that would definitely help
Prior development experience with C++
Practical Knowledge of C++ STL containers
Development experience with Java/C#, and/or Typescript

Experience with Network programming
Understanding of Cloud Platforms and Kubernetes
