As a Staff Software Engineer, you'll drive backend reliability and enhance platform health. This role emphasizes the establishment of technical directions and modernizes legacy systems for improved scalability and speed. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, aligning backend architectures with product vision and user needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Define technical direction for Everand’s backend systems
• Ensure backend reliability through observability, metrics, and alerts
• Mentor engineers and lead architecture design reviews
• Collaborate with product and design partners on user-focused solutions
• Modernize systems to eliminate technical debt and drive performance
Requirements:
• Significant backend engineering experience in scalable systems
• Proficient in Ruby or other modern backend languages
• Proven technical leadership through mentorship and migrations
• Strong collaboration skills across teams and functions
