At Flexspring, you will have the autonomy and flexibility to tackle your role in a way that is right for you. We foster a learning culture that will allow you to develop new skills and progress in your career.

Who We Are

Flexspring is an iPaaS (Integration Platform as a Service) company specializing in HR data integrations. We partner with HR teams and HR software companies to design and deliver custom integrations that connect HR, payroll, and business systems, reduce manual work, improve data accuracy, and help people's operations run more efficiently.

The Role

As an Integration Specialist at Flexspring, you will design, build, and support custom integrations that connect complex HR, Payroll, and financial systems. This is a hands‑on development role with meaningful client interaction. You will work directly with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT stakeholders to translate business and technical requirements into reliable, scalable integration solutions. You’ll be involved throughout the full lifecycle — discovery, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and post‑go‑live support — ensuring workforce data flows accurately and securely between systems.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, explaining complex concepts clearly, and taking ownership of integration solutions end‑to‑end.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop and code integrations based on client requirements using Flexspring’s integration framework
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to review client data mappings and technical specifications
  • Perform integration testing, support user acceptance testing (UAT), and lead go‑live activities
  • Document integration logic, configuration details, and technical nuances for clients and internal teams
  • Troubleshoot production integration issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions while meeting defined support SLAs
  • Communicate clearly with clients and internal teams throughout development, testing, and support activities
  • Document investigation steps and resolutions in the case management system (Salesforce Service Cloud) and keep stakeholders informed
  • Drive support cases to resolution by collaborating with Support, Technical Consultants, third‑party partners, and clients
What you’ll bring

Must Have
  • Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Fluency in English is required
  • Strong backend development experience, including solid proficiency in Java
  • Experience working with Groovy or similar JVM‑based languages
  • Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React (or similar)
  • Hands‑on experience building or supporting API‑based integrations (REST, SOAP, GraphQL)
  • Familiarity with file‑based integrations (SFTP, CSV, XML, JSON)
  • Strong understanding of system‑to‑system data flows, authentication, and error handling
  • Experience working with or integrating HRIS and/or Payroll systems is strongly preferred
  • Exposure to ERP/financial systems or understanding how payroll data impacts reporting and General Ledger processes is an asset
  • Ability to clearly explain technical concepts, integration logic, and data mappings to non‑technical stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • High ownership mindset and ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment
Nice to Have
  • Experience with HR and/or financial data integrations
  • Exposure to HR platforms or enterprise systems commonly used in people operations
  • Additional language skills such as Spanish, Arabic, or other languages.
What You Get
  • Work from home with flexible hours.
  • 4 weeks of paid vacation annually.
  • Comprehensive health benefits package for you and your family.
  • Team events and opportunities to connect with colleagues.
  • Opportunity to work with cutting‑edge technologies.
  • Competitive base salary.
