Technical Director for Production Pipeline

Be a key player at Reel FX in Montreal as the Technical Director overseeing the production pipeline. This role is designed for those who thrive on implementing cutting-edge technology in a creative environment.

As the Pipeline Technical Director, your main focus will be on enhancing our production capabilities through the creation and deployment of advanced tools and applications. You will actively conduct research and identify technological advancements that can streamline workflows. Additionally, you will run evaluations of tool effectiveness and suggest new processes to troubleshoot ongoing technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement applications for production needs

• Analyze emerging technologies for practical application

• Establish test plans to measure tool effectiveness

• Conduct ongoing performance assessments of production tools

• Provide solutions to common production issues

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in production

• Expertise in shell scripting and programming environments

• Familiarity with Unreal Engine and Maya

• Experience with various CG production tools and methodologies
