The Manager, Software Development leads a team of software developers responsible for developing and maintaining

Intelerad'smedicalimagingsolutionsthatservehealthcareprovidersanddirectlyimpactpatientcare delivery. This role balances technical leadership with people management, ensuring the team delivers high-quality, secure, and compliant software while fostering individual growth and team collaboration. The Manager partners closely with Product Management, Quality Assurance, and other R&D teams to drive successful delivery of features and capabilities that meet healthcare regulatory requirements and customer expectations.

Leads and develops a software development team through effective coaching, mentorship, performance management, and career development, creating an environment where engineers can grow their technical skillsanddelivertheirbestworkwhilemaintaininghighstandardsforcodequality,testing,and documentation.

Drivestechnicalexecutionanddeliveryofsoftwarefeaturesandcapabilitiesalignedwithproductroadmaps, ensuring the team follows established engineering practices, architectural standards, and healthcare compliance requirements (HIPAA, FDA, DICOM, HL7) while meeting committed timelines and qualityexpectations.

Collaborateswithcross-functionalpartnersincluding

Product

Management,Quality Assurance,Technical Support, and other R&D teams to ensure clear requirements, effective prioritization, and smooth delivery of capabilities that meet customer needs and business objectives.

Ensures operational excellence and regulatory compliance for production systems byestablishingrigorous processes for code review, testing, traceability, deployment, monitoring, and incident responsewhilemaintainingthe reliability and performance standardsrequiredfor mission-critical healthcare environments where system availability impacts patient care.

Contributes to technical strategy and continuous improvement by providing input on architectural decisions, evaluating emerging technologies and methods—including the rapidly evolving agentic AI tooling landscape—and identifying opportunities to improve development processes and tooling, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence within the team and broader R&D organization.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or related technical field, or equivalent experience

7+ years of software development experience with at least 2 years in a leadership or team lead capacity

Demonstrated track record leading delivery teams and improving throughput or cycle time

Experience leading combined development and QA teams within an Agile framework

Experience leading developers/QA through changes in working practices andestablishingnew ways of working within an existing R&D organization

Proven ability to coach and develop developers,providing constructive feedback and supporting career growth

Hands-on experience using agentic coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Git Hub Copilot, Devin, Cursor, or equivalent) against a production codebase, with…
