Senior Backend Software Developer at ACS

Location: Montreal

Join ACS as a Senior Backend Software Developer in a hybrid role focused on enhancing Forma Admin user access control. Collaborate with a talented team to build flexible, secure systems that impact all ACS products.

This role in Toronto, Montreal, or Vancouver requires experience in backend engineering and distributed systems. You will engage in software design, testing, and collaborative problem-solving while actively participating in code reviews. Your contributions will influence tier 1 core APIs, crucial to our data infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research and design innovative software features

• Diagnose and fix system bugs and performance issues

• Collaborate with domestic and international ACS teams

• Create clear technical documentation for new features

• Engage in code reviews and enhance your development skills

Requirements:

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience

• 5+ years in backend and distributed systems engineering

• 3+ years with Node.js or willingness to learn

• Expertise in SQL/Postgres database management

• Strong cloud application design skills (AWS preferred)
