Job Title:
Full stack Java Developer
Experience Level: Level 3 (senior): 5-7 years
Location:
Montreal (Day 1 onboarding onsite/in office presence 3x/week)
Position Description:
EC Data & Analytics Technology (DAT) is the Enterprise Computing organization responsible for delivering and operating the firm's data platforms, analytics capabilities, database technologies, reporting solutions, and data-driven services that enable secure, scalable, and reliable business insights across the enterprise.
Major duties and responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain distributed Java applications in a Linux environment.
- Participate in design sessions and code review to drive high-quality and maintainable software.
- Support testing activities to ensure software reliability, performance, and stability.
- Collaborate closely with team members to deliver business critical functionality.
- Leverage modern AI tools and agentic workflows to boost productivity and software quality.
- Strong expertise in Java development with experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools.
- Proven experience in developing distributed, performance-critical, and highly available systems.
- Familiarity with multithreaded programming paradigms
- Experience with Python, Angular, Docker/Podman
- Knowledge about Unix/Linux based platforms
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
