Location: Montreal
Work Mode: Onsite (day 1 onboarding onsite/in-office presence required 3x/week) Responsibilities:
- Design and develop complex software systems and applications, setting high standards for quality and innovation.
- Leverage Generative AI tools and coding assistants to enhance development velocity and solution quality.
- Deliver solutions that meet performance, scalability, and security requirements.
- Drive technical excellence through code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with global teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Participate in Agile meetings, deliver project status, and adapt to evolving regulatory and business requirements.
- Learn, improve, and apply company's proprietary frameworks and best practices.
- Write comprehensive tests to ensure code reliability and maintainability.
- Respond proactively to change, mastering new technical and business concepts as needed.
- Minimum 7 years of development experience with proven ability to write optimized, efficient, and clean code.
- Proficiency in Core Java, Java EE, Spring/Spring Boot, Web Services, and Relational databases.
- Experience with UI development frameworks (preferably Angular, React, etc.).
- Experience with AI coding assistants like copilot, using Agent mode, Skills, etc., for software development, automation, reporting, or analytics.
- Demonstrated experience in designing complex, large-scale distributed systems and microservices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication, organizational, and planning skills.
- Strong work ethic, collaborative spirit, and clear communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to write thorough unit tests covering all major logic components, preferably using coding assistant.
- Ability to align technology initiatives with business objectives and understand the financial aspects of technology decisions.
- Experience with Dev Ops practices: CI/CD pipeline management, containerization, observability tools.
- Understanding of serverless architecture.
- Competency with source control systems (preferably git), CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, ensuring streamlined development processes.
- Exposure to JIRA or other ALM tools.
- Basic understanding of Linux and Shell scripting.
