Location: Mount Royal
Lead high-speed firmware innovations as a Senior Firmware Engineer at Cadence, focusing on SERDES PHY development. Leverage expertise in C/C++ and Python in a collaborative environment.
In this critical role, you'll drive firmware developments from architecture to customer deployment for high-speed serial-link applications. Work alongside verification and product teams to enhance system performance and resolve complex firmware issues during testing phases.
Key Responsibilities:
• Architect and implement firmware for high-speed SERDES
• Troubleshoot firmware problems in verification environments
• Support post-silicon testing and validation processes
• Interface with engineering teams for real-time IP debugging
• Create control software for high-speed adaptation algorithms
Requirements:
• Expertise in C/C++ and Python programming languages
• Comprehensive knowledge of wireline communication protocols
• Familiarity with mixed-signal design and digital processing
• Experience in UVM and System Verilog for digital verification
• BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering
