Remote(Occasional Travel to Edmonton, AB): 7 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)    Engagement Model:  Professional Services Engagement – B2B (Incorporated Entities Only)   Note on Assignment Type   This position is provisionally  Remote(Occasional Travel to Edmonton, AB) , requiring  7 hours per calendar day  between  8:00 AM and 5:00 PM , Monday to Friday (excluding breaks). Conditions may change based on organizational requirements and at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.

Job Description:

Full Stack Developer  Alberta Education and Childcare is seeking a Full Stack Developer to support the development and maintenance of new Learn Alberta and related applications. The resource will join an agile, cloud-based development environment and contribute to both front-end and back-end development, application scalability, efficiency, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities   Develop and maintain new Learn Alberta and related applications in an agile environment.
Build, test, and deploy cloud-based and serverless applications on Amazon Web Services.
Develop solutions using C#, .NET, AWS DynamoDB, No

SQL databases, and VS Code.
Use state-management technologies including NGXS, NGRX, and Redux.
Develop and maintain legacy applications using C#, .NET, IIS, Microsoft SQL Server, and Visual Studio.
Design and develop RESTful APIs.
Ensure application responsiveness, scalability, and efficiency.
Use continuous integration and continuous deployment tools.
Translate business requirements into functional and technical designs.
Provide architectural direction and technical project leadership as required.
Write effective unit and automated tests.
Troubleshoot front-end and back-end application issues.
Mandatory Candidate Specifications  Candidates must meet  all four  mandatory requirements:
Education and overall development experience
University degree or two-year diploma in computer science or a related discipline, plus at least  five years of software development experience ;  or
One-year certificate in computer science or a related discipline, plus at least  seven years of software development experience .
C# and/or Java
Minimum  five years of experience  as a software developer using C# and/or Java.
Amazon Web Services
Minimum  three years of experience  as a software developer on Amazon AWS development projects.
Angular and/or React
Minimum  three years of experience  developing, building, testing, and deploying solutions using Angular 2.0 or higher and/or React.
Highly

Desirable Experience  Priority should be given to candidates with:

Experience with specific AWS services and the ability to explain their use within relevant projects.
Strong experience with  both Angular 2.0+ and React .
No

SQL database experience, particularly  DynamoDB and MongoDB .
Experience developing large-scale, web-based content management platforms comparable to new Learn Alberta.

Experience with state-management tools such as  NGXS, NGRX, and Redux .
Clearly documented project objectives, responsibilities, technologies, outcomes, and dates for each claimed experience.
