About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of AI Engineering to join their mission of providing AI agents, capital, and growth teams to small businesses. The ideal candidate is a technologist at heart, deeply practical, and focused on using technology to deliver real, tangible business results. This role is pivotal in the development of the first enterprise-grade dark software factory, with a strong emphasis on internal tool development and a reluctance to use external vendors.

The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding the engineering organization, making strategic decisions, and ensuring operational excellence. They should be capable of holding two opposing viewpoints simultaneously, particularly in the context of AI's impact on the industry, and be committed to the company's goal of helping small business owners.

Applicants for the Vice President of AI Engineering position at the company should be passionate about technology, with a track record of tinkering and building as a hobby. The role requires a leader who can work startup hours, is not afraid to make bold decisions, and has a deep understanding of engineering strategy, particularly in the age of AI. The company values a practical approach to engineering and is focused on the real-world application of technology.

The role is demanding, but for the right candidate, it is a dream career where work is fun, and the focus is on making a difference in the lives of customers. The company is an equal-opportunity employer and encourages all qualified candidates to apply.
