Unreal Engine Animation Programmer

Build multiplayer animation systems at Ubisoft using Unreal Engine, C++, and C# within a hands-on, empowered development team.

This Animation Programmer role supports an ambitious multiplayer experience developed in Unreal Engine. You will collaborate with animation, programming, and motion capture teams while combining technical and artistic perspectives. The work covers scalable systems, tools, procedural animation, and physics-based animation techniques.

• Collaborate with animation, programming, and motion capture teams
• Analyze existing animation features within the game engine
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable animation systems
• Create tools supporting dynamic and living worlds
• Optimize animation systems, code, memory usage, and performance

• Experience with C++ and C#
• Knowledge of Visual Studio
• Strong understanding of 3D mathematics
• Experience with rigging, state machines, ragdoll physics, and inverse kinematics
• Understanding of animation tool development and optimization
