Lead Unreal rendering and graphics systems at Ubisoft Montreal, shaping technical vision, visual quality, and production feasibility. Support teams across development.
As Technical Art Director, you will guide technical direction for a video game project using Unreal. You will partner with leadership, programming, and creative teams to evaluate graphical features and solve complex technical challenges. The position also supports Technical Artists through collaboration, mentoring, and shared standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Define technical vision with leadership teams
- Supervise three Technical Artists and one Principal Technical Artist
- Develop Unreal solutions for visual and production goals
- Evaluate rendering, memory, performance, and graphics constraints
- Design tools and workflows for production pipelines
- Technical direction experience in video games
- Experience managing, mentoring, or coordinating technical teams
- Advanced Unreal and rendering systems knowledge
- Experience with Maya, 3ds Max, Substance Painter, or similar
- Understanding of C++, Python, or C#
