Lead generative AI engineering in Montreal’s hybrid environment, combining LLM architecture with production platform delivery and technical leadership. French and English are required.
This Vice-President-level Principal Data and Analytics Engineering position supports Morgan Stanley’s Institutional Securities Group. You will enable divisional GenAI use cases across business enablement, modernization, cyber, and at-scale initiatives. The work includes reusable architectures, AI platforms, data pipelines, governance, and operational controls.
Key Responsibilities:- Recruit, lead, and mentor developers while setting engineering standards
- Prioritize GenAI use cases with business and technology teams
- Industrialize solutions from proof of concept to production platforms
- Design architectures using LLMs, agent frameworks, and orchestration tools
- Measure outcomes and communicate value to senior stakeholders
- At least ten years of software development experience
- Proven leadership in architecture, standards, mentoring, and delivery
- Hands-on experience delivering production systems
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools and appropriate controls
- Understanding of AI governance and regulatory expectations
Build scalable GenAI platforms at Morgan Stanley through technical leadership, LLM architecture, and production engineering expertise.
